Mrs. Patricia Maldonado

Hello,  I am Mrs. Maldonado.  I am so excited for this school year!  I have been teaching for 17 years.  I started with children 6wks - 5 year olds at a daycare in Covina for about five years.  After that, I worked at St. Margaret Mary for seven years.  I was moved around a lot between preschool, junior kinder, and finally second grade.  During second grade, I was asked to help open preschool at Our Lady of Lourdes.  I worked there as the lead teacher for two years.  I am excited to start my third year at St. George with your children.  I believe this school year will be filled with fun, lots of learning, and new adventures.  

 

Education:  I received my Associate's degree in Liberal Studies from Citrus Community College many moons ago.  After a long hiatus, I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from University of Phoenix.  I have taken a few trainings in Super kids throughout the years. I am currently enrolled in a five month PMFP course. Once that is complete, I plan to return to school to receive my Master's in Education. 

 

On a personal note, I am a mother of four.  I have three daughters, 20, 15, and 13.  My youngest is my son, who is 10 years old.  My oldest one is planning on transferring to a four year college this spring.  I also have a daughter who is starting her sophomore year ant Bishop Amat and my two youngest attend St. Margaret Mary.  I have been married for twenty-three years.  I enjoy spending time with my family.  All of my children are in sports, so that is where most of my time is spent.  On the occasion we have free time, we enjoy movie nights, traveling and eating out.  

 

I look forward to meeting all of you.  Thank you for entrusting me with your children.  I believe working together, we will have a fantastic year.
