About the Teacher

Welcome Saint George Parents! My name is Gladys Zamorano and I am very excited about the new 2025-2026 school year. This will be my seventh year at St George as the Fourth-grade teacher.

I was born in Peru where I was raised by a loving family that instill in me the love for God, morals, and values since an early age. As a child, I attended private Catholic school from kindergarten through high school. Later, I moved to the United States where I pursued my higher education. I obtained my AA at San Antonio College. Then, I earned a B.A.  in Liberal Studies at Cal Poly Pomona graduated Summa Cum laude. Finally, I obtained my Multiple Subject Teaching Credentials at La Verne University.

Prior to teaching, I worked for Wells Fargo Bank for fifteen years. I really enjoyed my time there; I love to work with numbers. However, I felt that I needed to do something more fulfilling, and that is how I decided to go into teaching. I find teaching a very fulfilling and rewarding career in which a teacher helps shape little minds. Therefore, I will provide a safe environment in which they feel comfortable exploring, discovering, and learning about new topics throughout the year. I will help my students grow not only academically, but also, emotionally and spiritually, as they grow in their faith and become closer to God.

On my personal life, I have been married for 39 years to my wonderful husband, and I have been blessed with an amazing son who fills my heart with joy and pride. He is now 26 years old. He went to Catholic school from kindergarten to high school. Then he went to Loyola Marymount University for a year; and then transferred to Cal Poly Pomona where he obtained his B.A. in Analytical Marketing. The things that I enjoy most in life besides teaching are cooking, dancing, reading, and traveling.

I am looking forward to a fantastic 2025-2026 school year!!
