Hello, my name is Ms. Jodoin (Ja-d-oin), and I am thrilled for my first-year teaching science and math at Saint George! I have always had a passion for these two subjects and I hope to share that same passion with our students. I am also very excited to be the head coach for our VEX IQ Robotics team. I competed in VEX Legacy VRC for 4 years at Murrieta Valley High School, and I have been working as an assistant robotics coach for Damien High School for 6 years now. I am eager to bring that experience to our school and to help grow our program!
I recently graduated from California State Polytechnic University of Pomona with my bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Regenerative Studies. Prior to working at St. George, I have been working at the non-profit affordable housing developer National Community Renaissance for 4 years, where I worked in new construction coordinating large scale solar installation and in energy and sustainability data analytics. I currently still act as COREVOLUTION’s Energy and Sustainability Data Analyst, tracking the energy performance of over 110 multi-family affordable housing projects throughout California, Texas and Florida.
As previously mentioned I have worked at Damien High school for 6 years as an assistant robotics coach where I have coached teams, hosted workshops, help run tournaments and more. Damien has hosted the State Championship since 2019 where I have acted as, assistant Event Partner, Judge Advisor, and Head Referee; March 2025 will be our LARGEST State Championship ever with roughly 200 teams competing for the title of State Champions. I have also been working as a Key Volunteer throughout the nation for the past 7 years where I assist with both local tournaments, Signature Events across the nation, and the World Championship. At the World Championship, I am a Key Volunteer where I help oversee the virtual judging process for Remote Interviews and Digital Engineering Notebooks, where we interview close to 1,000 teams. I also help oversee a division of judges when we switch to in-person judging, at the main event, (this year in Dallas Texas). 2024-25 will be my 12th year involved in the VEX Robotics program; if you are interested please join us afterschool in October for our first week of robotics!
