Hello, my name is Andrew Ramirez and I am the Principal of St George School. I am excited to be working with the Administration Team to best meet the needs of your children. I believe that our school is a ministry of our church and a big part of our parish community. I believe wholeheartedly that our children are Catholic Students today and will become the Catholic Leaders of tomorrow, as that school motto best describes my own journey.
I am a first-generation Mexican-American raised by my mother and grandmother. I am a proud Papa of two boys. My oldest continues his journey as a KNIGHT in our Kindergarten program. I am a product of Catholic Education, graduating from Don Bosco Tech in San Gabriel and receiving my B.A. Degree from Cal Poly Pomona, followed by an M.A. Degree in Education along with a California Credential from the University of La Verne. My calling to educate began 20 years ago here at St. George as a teacher's aide and has evolved into my position as Principal. I am eager to continue the rich Catholic school traditions that are established at our wonderful school. We continue our school’s current programs while developing new opportunities for success. Student success will always be my focus, providing opportunities for growth to both teachers and students.
I invite your support for me and our school. I promote the ideas of project-based & collaborative learning, co-curricular lessons, and STEAM education. I am focused on meeting the needs of our very diverse student population. I promise that with the support of this community, I will work hard every day and allow my actions to tell the story of who I am and of my commitment to this parish and school.
Thank you for your support and consideration. I look forward to serving our students, you the parents, and our church community.
"The second most important job in the world, second only to being a good parent, is being a good teacher." (S.G. Ellis)
"We cannot hope that many children will learn mathematics unless we find a way to share our enjoyment and show them its beauty as well as its utility." (Mary Beth Ruskai)
