I was born in Garden City, Kansas and at the age of one my parents moved my two older siblings and myself to California. My sister was born the following year. We made a home in Eagle Rock, California where I spent my childhood and young adult life. I have the fondest memories of my grammar school days where I attended St. Dominic's School from 1st through 8th grade. I graduated from Robert Bellarmine Jefferson, a Catholic High School in Burbank, California. Catholic education was so important to my parents. They made many sacrifices so my siblings and I could attend all our years in Catholic School. As a result, I understand and appreciate all the benefits of a Catholic education. I believe it's through God's guidance and direction that I have the opportunity to be employed at St. George Parish School.
I returned to Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga and I am completing classes towards my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies. I have attended several workshops to help further my professional development. They include Día de Los Muertos through the City of Ontario, Working with Moderate-Severe Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders training through the West End SELPA, Active Shooter, First Aid and CPR. I have served as Eucharistic Minister at St. George Parish Church and I completed my PMFP certificate in March 2016. I was humbled and honored to receive Staff Member of the Year in 2010, Community Builder Award in 2014 and Distinguished Teacher of the Year in 2020.
As the Art teacher and yearbook moderator I get to do what I enjoy and express my creative side. My goal is to teach creativity and innovation, encourage mistakes and experimentation. I love the idea of creating memories with your children through projects and the school yearbooks. We have so many talented students at St. George School, and it is a complete joy for me to see our students have the opportunity to express their passions and creativity through Art!
I am happily married to Brian Conant and have two children Jordan and Ally. Brian enjoys being a volunteer coach for several sports programs at Aquinas High School. Both of my children are proud graduates of St. George School. Jordan graduated from Aquinas High School in 2015 and currently works in extended care and our hot lunch program. Ally graduated from Aquinas High School and received her Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University in 2023 and will be working in our Smart Lab, Junior High Math and student council. As a family we enjoy attending St. George Parish School and Aquinas High School sporting events, The Dodgers and Quakes games, camping, eating sushi, going to the movies and our little Frenchie Vader. I feel very blessed with the opportunity to work with your children.
