About The Teacher

My name is Christina Murguia, I am excited that I was chosen to be the new Resource Specialist here at St. George Parish School.  I am excited to join the St.  George family!
I have over 17 years of experience in the classroom setting.  Previously before St. George I was a kindergarten teacher for 6 years at a Montessori private school.  I currently hold my Child Development permit along with my Montessori certificate.  I am currently enrolled in school to continue my education.
I believe my Montessori background will help me be a stronger Resource Specialist.  Dr. Montessori theorized that all children are born intelligent but learn in different ways and progress at their own pace.  It is my job to individualize a lesson plan that will help strengthen their ability and help master their goals.
I firmly believe that every student is entitled to an enriching education, respect, and professionalism.  My goal is to motivate each student's inner strengths and abilities to achieve their full potential.
A little about myself.  My husband Rodrigo and I just celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary.  We have two children Alexandra who is 12 she currently attends St. Francis de Sales and is in 7th grade.  My son Sebastian who is 4 and is joining our junior kinder program here at St.  George.  In our spare time when I'm not being a cook, a taxi, a tutor, or a housekeeper we spend a lot of time on the volleyball court and we are active volunteers at our parish St. Francis de Sales.
I look forward to a great and exciting year.  I welcome parents to reach out to me should you have any questions or concerns about your child.  Together we can make this a great year for your child!  Remember Attendance Matters!
