St. George Parish School

5th Grade

Hello! My name is Michelle Medina and I am very excited for a new school year as the fifth grade teacher. Even more thrilling is the fact that I get to work with amazing students. This will be my second year working at St. George. I worked as a teacher assistant last school year in first grade.

Aside, from my experience here at St. George, I’ve worked with children on and off for about 18 years. I have a passion working with children. I have worked with babies as young as 6 weeks old to 8th grade level (tutoring). I have taught in the primary grade level but this will be my first year in the middle grade level.

I have a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Liberal studies with a minor in Early Childhood Development from Cal Poly Pomona. My future goal is to attend Loyola Marymount to earn my Master’s Degree in Education and my multi-subject credential.

On a personal note, I have 2 beautiful children that attend St. George. Aj is 9 years old and will be in 4th grade. He has been at St. George since Kindergarten. Mila is 4 years old and will be in Kindergarten. I married my high school sweetheart and we’ve been married for almost 10 years. We are both Bishop Amat alumni’s (Go Lancers!!!) and Cal Poly Pomona Alumni’s. My husband and I love watching our children play sports. On our free time, when we are not that the park, we enjoy going to the movies, baseball games, Disneyland and traveling.

Thank you in advance for entrusting your child’s education to me. I have faith that each of my students will thrive and exceed all expectations. I believe that with your support and communication we will have an amazing school year.

God Bless!
